Somewhere in between cheese and brilliance comes Lovecracked the movie. Comprised of a series of short films based on the life and works of HP Lovecraft and help together by a mockumentry. while some segments of the mockumentry ebb and flow from the lame to weird and funny. With director Elias and a host of guest stars running about in giant afro wigs and harassing people on the street, a lot of the shorts in between are great. Remain, Bug Boy and the brief monologue from The Outsider are brilliantly done and display some great cinematography. While A History of the Lurkers and Re-Penetrator are so silly that no matter how much you want to hate them you are compelled to embrace them. now some people who are Lovecraft purists may take issues with the liberties taken with his material in this film. However if you can let go of that and just sit back and just enjoy it for what it is, you're bound to have a few laughs.
