Pilgrim Give Me a Reason to Like Valentine's Day PDF Print Email
Written by Sameerah

Because I am a woman, I'm supposed to be genecticlly programmed to be all about valentine's day. But to be honest I could careless about the hallmark holiday. It's just another day for a hand full of companies to sell me more usless shit. People tell me that it's supposed to be all about romance and shit, but to be perfectly honest I don't need to special day to get laid as I don't have a hard time getting a lil action the other 364 days out of the year. I think if we're going to do valentine's day, we should do it like the Romans did it and kill some shit. Hell Al Capone may have been the last person to celebrate the holiday the way the peagan gods intended, with an offering of blood.

After a lifetime of thinking that valentine's day is shite, Pilgrim has finally given me a day to get excited for February 14th. The release of Pilgrim's "Misery Wizard" means that my valentine's day will be filled with scorching doom, images of plauge, pestilence and all other things that cut to the heart of the true meaning of valentine's day. You can hear the third single from "Misery Wizard", "Quest" over at http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2012/01/an_interview_wi_57.html.

Prepare Thyself for Odin's Blood PDF Print Email

Back from the darkest depths of central Illinois, The Horde crawls from the mid-Western muck to bless your ear holes with a message from the gods with their video for "Odin's Blood". The first video from their new album "Thy Blackened Reign". They only thing I would change about this video, is to make the intro longer. It starts out with a shot of a blood red sun set and the epic squeel of Viking preparing for battle, but the whole thing lasts only a few seconds. Hardly enough time to truly bask in the glory that is The Horde's thrash inspired folk metal. You can check out the video for "Odin's Blood" at  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujvQeJjNCj0&feature=youtu.be
