She was dancing in front of a dim blue light near the DJ booth. Her black hair swinging around her face and shoulders as she swayed back and forth the rhythm of some old skool DM, however it isnâ??t her dance that has caught my eye tonight, but the maroon lace top covering her corset. I canâ??t take my eyes away from the intricate spiders web design playing across her shoulders. Now Iâ??ve seen tops of this sort before at the cheap costume shops that line Hollywood Blvd. They seem to stock them nothing but those as Halloween approaches. Still something about this top is different and its something that goes beyond just to color. Perhaps it was because this didnâ??t seem to made out of the horrid cheap scratchy stretch lace that rears its ugly head at some shops. I just know I need to find out where she got that top! As the song comes to an end I push my through the crowded dance floor to where the girl is still standing, screaming over the noise of the club I ask her where she got her top from. She screams back, â??A online store called Dragons Blood Creations.â? I thank her rush to the bar and write the name of the store on a cocktail napkin before alcohol ruins my short-term memory. I stumbled home about 3am, and even in my far from sober state I couldnâ??t wait to get online and check out the new shop I learned about earlier in the evening, I was floored by what I saw! Beautiful corsets, tops dresses, vests in almost every style your dark heart could ever ask for. I was giddy when I went to bed that night, and the site got even better when I sobered up and quit seeing two of everything. Tonight weâ??re going to sit down with the Australian fashion goddesses of Dragons Blood Creations Terry and Adele to find out what DBC has in store for us next.

Itâ??s been almost a year to the day that I first heard Damage Effect, from the first time I heard them I thought they were one of the better industrial bands I had heard in a long time. Ecto was just starting then and I was determined to make Damage Effect a part of it. So I sent an email asking for an interview. Singer/songwriter and all around jack-of-all-trades, Rob Damage answered me the next day, but much to my chagrin their debut cd wasnâ??t ready yet. Crushed and excited all at once I continued with my quest to make Ecto the best ezine the world has ever known patiently awaiting the release of the debut from Damage Effect. Fast Forward one year and Iâ??m making my way through Ectoâ??s mail, I stop in mid step staring at the bright yellow envelope bearing the name Rob Damage on the return address label. I read the package about a dozen times because it seems to be good to be true, dropping everything else to the side I put the disc into the stereo and it is everything I expected to be and more. Now at long last Iâ??m able to have a sit down with Damage Effects Rob Damage to find out more about the band that has quickly made to the top of my heavy rotation list!

One of the first shows I went to when I first moved to the City of Fallen Angeles was Nocturne. Time and the amount of booze I probably consumed that night have managed to push the time and place from my memory, but there is one thing that stands out from that night. That Nocturne put on one hell of a show, putting them in my personal top 10 of one of the best live bands out there today. Since that first show Iâ??ve had the pleasure of seeing Nocturne perform a few more times and each show has been better than the last. The same can be said of their discography; with the release of Guide to Extinction on June 16 rapidly approaching I decided it this was a perfect time to have a sit down with Nocturneâ??s Lacy Conner.

Alright I'm going let you in on a little secret, over the last few months I've become a Myspace.com addict. Like most people I was introduced to the site through a friend and as my friend list grew so did my addiction. Although out of all the vices I may have, my addiction to Myspace.com may be one of the most productive. Since it was there that I ran across photographer Adam Adubich. When I first saw his work I was amazed by how he managed to convey such powerful emotions with such subtle imagery. So much so that I decided I had to share my new friend with the world before he got too big to remember who I am.

I woke up before my alarm at 8am. Spring from the bed I shut off the clock before it has a chance to go off. Making my way to the shower this is the first time in ages that Iâ??ve had to be up early and was happy about it. Getting dressed I agonize over what to wear and fret over my lip-gloss. Iâ??ve been waiting for this day for over a week now. Today I have a phone interview with Martin Atkins. Hey! I see that look on your face, and I know youâ??re wondering why Iâ??m in such a tizzy over a phoner. Did I mention I was going to be speaking to Martin Atkins? The drummer for Ministry and killing Joke, not to mention that he is the founder of the musical revolution Pigface, now you understand why Iâ??m so excited! With fingers shaking as I dial preparing for a conversation with one of the most innovative musicians of recent history.
