Itâ??s late. Iâ??m on my third vodka tonic of the night and I think Iâ??m coming down with a case of computer eye strain or that could just be the booze. Getting ready to take care of the third cd review of the night I reach into my press box and pick something out at random. I come up with the Insaints. Iâ??m amused by the picture of the blonde holding a switch blade on the cover and the name of the band sounds familiar. Putting the disc on I make my way to the kitchen to grab another drink before settling back in to work. As the disc plays memories come flooding back to me and now I know why the name of the band was so familiar. Back in 1989 the Insaints were getting ready to take over the Bay area Punk scene and I was just getting ready to head into high school as a closet Goth/punk chick. As memories of my first taste of the underground come flooding back to me, I realize that the Insaints deserve more than just a review of their work. So join me on the dark path called memory lane and raise a glass to the Insaints.

Hey there, fukkhedz. Listen up and listen good, cuz I am about to go on a rant about how much I hate the holidays and anything affiliated w/ them. IT'S ABOUT FUCKIN' TIME Let us start w/ the Jewish Holiday Hanukkah. A eight night holiday that is generally in the middle of December and not only do we get eight nights of presents, but we have to light candles signifying the nights. My family are nothing, but cowards who are afraid of my grandma, so we us fake candles and get bossed around by her.

Black Waltz began in 2002 with three guys who wanted to further explore and expand on the darker side of music which had always inspired them. With Chris on vocals, Wayne on guitar, Rick on bass and a laptop on drums the guys recorded a four track cd that was release via their web site. After the release of the cd the guys decided to put Black Waltz on hold in order to pursue other interests and projects. Chris picked up were he had left off teaching math at UC Irvine. Wayne was given the opportunity to tour with one of his favorite bands Faith and the Muse, while Rick continued playing with Wailing Wall.

One thing I could never stand is waiting. It drives me insane! Iâ??m more of an instant gratification kind of girl. So when we had to wait until midnight for Heavenly Trip to Hell to take the stage I was feeling like a caged animal waiting in the shadows for them to take the stage.
